»Oslo - The birds and the bees may be gay, according to the world's first museum exhibition about homosexuality among animals.

With documentation of gay or lesbian behaviour among giraffes, penguins, parrots, beetles, whales and dozens of other creatures, the Oslo Natural History Museum concludes that human homosexuality can't be viewed as "unnatural".

"We may have opinions on a lot of things, but one thing is clear: homosexuality is found throughout the animal kingdom, it is not against nature," an exhibit statement said.

Geir Soeli, the project leader of Against Nature, said: "Homosexuality has been observed in more than 1 500 animal species and is well documented for 500 of them."

The museum said the exhibition, which opened on Thursday despite condemnation from some Christians, was the first in the world on the subject.

"The sexual urge is strong in all animals... It's a part of life, it's fun to have sex," Soeli said of the reasons for homosexuality or bisexuality among animals.

I just figured I might as well write my blog in English - since I don't blog everyday anyway I could just practice my English skills a bit.

So: in case you find anything annoyingly incorrect or just plain stupid - it might just be my rapidly degrading active vocabulary. Not to speak of grammar mistakes...

Dann will ich auch hier mal wieder ein paar Zeilen loswerden. Gestern habe ich mal ein Blog für mein Wohnhaus erstellt, was allein in den ersten 2 Tagen nun schon 4(sic!) Einträge und 2 Kommentare zählt. Bin ich schon ein wenig stolz drauf...

Des weiteren stand ich gestern von neun Uhr morgens bis fast halb acht abends im Stau. Naja, nicht wirklich, aber ich hab mal wieder bei einem Kurzfilm mitgemacht, der in einem Stau spielt, also wurde ein stillgelegtes Stück Autobahn für einen ganzen Tag mit Autos von Statisten und Team-Mitgliedern gefüllt. Sehr erheiternd. Das ganze ist eine Produktion von Dropout Films und wird "nur" ein 45sek-Trailer werden, also keine Ahnung, ob man das irgendwann mal in der Glotze zu sehen bekommt. Wahrscheinlich eher weniger.
